Africa: Over-indebted or Underfunded?

The international debate has focused on the risk of a debt crisis in Africa. Yet behind the numbers, a paradox persists: the continent suffers less from excessive debt than from a structural financing gap. At this latest Hors-champ event, Mansa invites us to examine this divide and explore models of cooperation capable of supporting Africa’s transitions.

What if your memories could become a work of art? Led by MansA, the Banque d’archives populaires is launching a major collection drive for photographs and personal stories about African migration and the ties—near and far—that bind us to Africa.

Black Artists in the Electronic Music Scene: Envisioning the Party of Tomorrow

As part of the launch of the Explain the Sound podcast, MansA is hosting a discussion focused on the historical role of Black artists in electronic music scenes. Through a listening session featuring excerpts from the podcast, the event will explore issues of visibility, cultural appropriation, and the transmission of these musical traditions.

Join the second cohort of the MansA Lab incubator

MansA Lab is launching its 2026–2027 call for applications for its second cohort dedicated to the cultural and creative industries of the African world. Over the course of nine months, the incubator will support innovative projects in audiovisual media, media, fashion, video games, design, and publishing centered on the theme: “Innovation and the African World.” Applications are open until July 3, 2026, for cultural entrepreneurs based in mainland France, Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Mayotte, and Réunion.
