Roundtable Discussion with Geovani Martins, Balla Fofana, and Maïram Guissé

On May 21, 2025, at Dock B in Pantin, stories from the margins took center stage: stories from the suburbs, the favelas, neighborhoods that are too often forgotten but always alive.

Discover or relive the first MansA literary encounter, which brought together Geovani Martins (Brazil), author of the book "Le Soleil sur ma tête" (The Sun on My Head), and Balla Fofana (France), author of "La prophétie de Dali" (The Prophecy of Dali). The event was moderated by the brilliant Maïram Guissé, journalist and director.

Through fiction, two powerful voices explore urban realities, diverse youth cultures, and structural violence. Their texts feature the street, exile, vernacular language, oral tradition, and the poetry of everyday life—all threads that weave together to create a vibrant, sensitive, and committed body of literature. An evening of transmission, words, and struggles shared between Rio and Paris.
