Research & Foresight

Research permeates the entire institution: it informs programming, shapes content, and supports strategic planning. By bringing together knowledge production, the exchange of ideas, and public debate, it helps foster a deeper understanding of contemporary African societies and their cultural, social, and political dynamics.

Hors-champ

Series of public meetings

Hors-champ is a series of public events dedicated to topics that are rarely covered, absent, or marginalized in current media narratives. Starting with a news story, each session offers an in-depth analysis based on research, data, and critical analysis. Researchers, journalists, artists, and civil society actors come together to share their perspectives, placing current events within broader historical, social, and geopolitical contexts. Open to the general public, the series highlights the critical, intellectual, and forward-looking dimensions of the MansA project.
