As a follow-up to the exhibition “Amílcar Cabral: For a Radical Humanism,” a leading figure in Cape Verdean culture will be featured at this “Veillée sonore.”
The evening will be inspired by the tradition of morna, an intimate and melancholic Cape Verdean song often associated with love, exile, and sodade. It will also showcase the energy of coladeira, a livelier, more rhythmic style with Creole, African, and Brazilian influences.
An invitation to explore, through music, the connections between regions, languages, and cultures.
The artist's identity will be revealed soon on the website.
