From April 13 to 18, 2026, MansA will travel to Martinique and Guadeloupe for its first initiative in the Caribbean islands, with the aim of supporting local cultural initiatives and strengthening their regional and international networks.
This initiative is part of MansA’s commitment to supporting contemporary creation by fostering connections between artists, researchers, and cultural actors from—or with ties to—the French overseas departments and regions (DROM-COM). The goal is to support local initiatives while integrating them into a framework of exchange, cooperation, and international outreach.
To mark the occasion, a roundtable discussion is being held in Guadeloupe to address the challenges of structuring the cultural and creative sectors. The event aims to examine the conditions for the sector’s development, balancing structural constraints with the dynamics of innovation.
How can we strengthen the organizational structure of the cultural and creative sectors in Guadeloupe, improve access to resources and markets, and foster cooperation at the local, regional, and international levels?
Organized in partnership with Bazaart and Loxymore, two Guadeloupe-based organizations incubated within MansA Lab, MansA’s cultural incubator, this roundtable discussion will take place at MACTe. It will bring together women from various sectors to work collectively on the key issues shaping the local cultural landscape: access to funding, transparency of support programs, regional networking, and engagement with international markets.
These issues take on particular significance in an island context, where structural constraints—isolation, low visibility, and limited access to resources—coexist with a strong cultural vitality and initiatives rooted in Caribbean and international dynamics.
The evening will continue with a social gathering (cocktails and a DJ set) to encourage interaction among participants.
