In Malafo, Guinea-Bissau, the Mediateca Onshore serves as both an archive and a space dedicated to “agropoetic” practices. In *Resonance Spiral*, Filipa César and Marinho de Pina document its construction and the practices that take place there, creating a dialogue between archives, the performing arts, and community experiences.

In this film, archival footage, performative acts, and community experiences come together around the Mediateca Onshore, a space dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of Guinean activist cinema.
While a recording of Amílcar Cabral echoes feminist concerns, the filmmakers examine their own positions and the contradictions inherent in any representation of the community, sharing their reflections and disillusionments amid the muddy landscapes of the mangrove swamp.
Filipa César is a Portuguese artist and filmmaker, born in Porto in 1975 and based in Berlin. Her work explores the fictional dimensions of documentary, the politics of the image, and the relationships between cinema, memory, and reception. Since 2011, she has been conducting research on the origins of activist cinema and images of the liberation struggle in Guinea-Bissau through films, archives, installations, publications, and collaborations.
Marinho de Pina is a filmmaker, transdisciplinary artist, performer, poet, musician, and writer. He is a researcher in Lisbon, where he is working on a doctoral dissertation focused on sacred spaces in Bissau.
