As part of the X-MISERICORDIA exhibition, American poet Aja Monet will present her new collection, Florida Water, before a meeting with artist Nicolas Premier.
On Wednesday, November 26, as part of Nicolas Premier's exhibition X.MISERICORDIA, MansA invites poet Aja Monet for a special evening. The American author will read from her latest collection, Florida Water (2025), before participating in a discussion with Nicolas Premier. Memory cycles and the flow of water and bodies will be at the heart of this encounter, inviting us to explore together our places and their anchors.
Aja Monet is a Grammy-nominated surrealist blues poet and cultural worker whose art transcends boundaries. Winner of the Nuyorican Grand Slam Poetry, she first made a name for herself on the Lower East Side scene in New York, where she honed her voice and her art at the heart of a vibrant poetic movement. She is part of a long line of poets engaged in social movements, continuing a tradition of artists for whom speech is an act of resistance and unity.
