Création Africa is a professional forum and public festival dedicated to the rapidly growing cultural and creative industries (CCIs) on the African continent.
Published on March 1, 2025
A catalyst at the crossroads of creation, entrepreneurship, and technological innovation, Création Africa is driven by a strong conviction: Africa is a rich pool of creative talent, whose impact is amplified by digital tools. From immersive media (XR, video games, AR) to transmedia publishing (webtoons) and audiovisual production (series and animation), Création Africa showcases innovations that reinvent narratives and transform the ways stories are created and shared.
Launched in 2023 in Paris, the first edition brought together over 300 African and European professionals for three days of exchange, dialogue, and reflection on the future of African CCIs. Organized in partnership with the Agence française de développement, Business France, Bpifrance, the Institut français, and the Centre Pompidou, this event is part of a broader cultural cooperation program supported by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, designed to foster the rise of creators across the continent.

Lagos cultural hub
Honoring the commitment made in 2023, Création Africa will cross the Mediterranean and take root in Lagos, Nigeria — a cultural powerhouse for the entire continent. With a thriving creative economy and booming music and film industries, Nigeria has become a driving force in global pop culture.
The 2025 edition will bring together professionals and the public around eight key sectors: video games, animation, webtoons, immersive worlds (VR/AR), TV series, digital fashion, sound design, and visual effects. The program will feature panels, pitch competitions, mentoring sessions, digital creation grants, exhibitions, live music performances, a “series night,” and a live-streamed e-sports tournament.
Anchored in the cultural vitality of Lagos, Création Africa affirms its international ambition: to connect African CCIs with new markets, new audiences, and global professional stages.
From October 16 to 18, 2025, Lagos will host Création Africa.
